Harold “Duane” Heady
Date Of Birth: 06/20/1967
Date of Death: 05/07/2022
Duane was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Harold and Shirley Heady. He lived in Fredericktown, Missouri and Illinois until the age of 15, when Duane moved to Lincoln City, Oregon and later to Beaverton and then Hillsboro, Oregon.
Duane met the love of his life, Lisa, in 1990, and they were married on June 27, 1992. Throughout the years they have shared their love of animals by adopting multiple rescue dogs and cats.
Duane, also known as Big Daddy, was an avid fisherman and race car fan. To his racing family, Duane was a generous and kind man who would give you “the shirt off his back”. He will be greatly missed by his race car family.
Duane’s generosity was seen in all areas of his life. Although Duane was a plumber by trade, he was knowledgeable in just about anything – plumbing, home maintenance, car maintenance, and beyond. Duane was at-the-ready to assist anyone needing help with anything – family, friends, and strangers.
Although Duane had struggled with medical issues for several years, he maintained a strong faith that the Lord was with him throughout. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 7, during his last hospital visit.
Duane is survived by his wife, Lisa; his brothers, Steven and Bill; his niece, Kayla; and several nieces and nephews living in Missouri, Illinois, Washington, and Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Brenda Maynor and Charlie Heady.
A memorial service will be held at Springer and Son Funeral Home in Aloha on May 13th, from 2:00-4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Puplandia Dog Rescue or Cat Adoption Team.
