Stefan Tyler Bonfiglio

Stefan Tyler Bonfiglio
Date Of Birth: 05/11/1993
Date of Death: 05/05/2022

In loving memory of Stefan Tyler Bonfiglio, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Stefan was born May 11, 1993 to Steve and Cindy Bonfiglio. His brother, Brandan, joined the family a few years later, and the four of them shared many happy memories as a loving family.

Sadly, Stefan was found unresponsive in his bed the morning of May 5th, just a few days shy of his 29th birthday. The good news is that Stefan also met Jesus face to face on May 5th, following his 10 year battle with mental illness and the disease of addiction that grew as a means for him to cope with his debilitating illness.

Stefan loved running track and playing lacrosse and soccer for Liberty High School. After graduation, this led to his favorite job at a local fitness center. However, Stefan’s biggest accomplishment was accepting Jesus Christ as his personal savior with the assurance of eternal life in heaven.

We are thankful for God’s unconditional love as He tried to pull Stefan away from the trials that relentlessly pulled him down. Stefan is now free from the chains that bound him.

We will miss our smart, kind-hearted, compassionate son who always told us how much he loved us.

In lieu of flowers, we would like to have donations made to NAMI, or donate.shatterproof.org, an organization that is dedicated to ending the stigma of mental illness and substance abuse disorders.

Stefan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Warren Dale Houghton.

Stefan is survived by his parents, Steve and Cindy Bonfiglio: brother, Brandan Bonfiglio; grandparents, Norma Houghton, Hazel Bonfiglio, Jacques Bonfiglio; Uncles, Rick (Jonie) Houghton, Steven Houghton, David (Pamela) Bonfiglio; Aunts, June Eastman, Sabrina (Jeff) Heinze, Linda Bonfiglio, Jacqueline Bonfiglio; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Stefan’s memorial service will be 10:30am Sat. May 21st at Helvetia Community Church, 11295 NW Helvetia Road, Hillsboro, OR 97124.
